Introducing Dr. Jun
You may have noticed a new smiling face around Longevity! Please help us welcome our new Acupuncturist Dr. Junyong Heo, aka Dr. Jun!
Dr. Jun completed his military service in Korea and obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in China in 2001. He has more than 20 years of study and clinical experience in South Korea and China. He moved to the U.S. to continue his practice as a Georgia Licensed and Board-certified Acupuncturist. He is also a member of the Chinese Acupuncture Association and the Korean Herbal Acupuncture Association.
Dr. Jun specializes in treating neck, shoulder, and back pain. He also treats facial paralysis, insomnia, headaches, and stress/anxiety. His special cupping technique and Tuina treatment method increase the effectiveness of his sessions.
The Tuina Method
Tuina (pronounced “twee nah”) is a form of Oriental bodywork that has been used in China for centuries. A combination of massage, acupressure and other forms of body manipulation, tuina works by applying pressure to acupoints, meridians and groups of muscles or nerves to remove inflammation. Removing these blockages restores the balance of qi in the body, leading to improved health and vitality!
Meet Dr. Han
Dr. Jun is also the proud husband of fellow Longevity Acupuncturist, Dr. Han, who our patients already know and love!
Dr. Han earned her Bachelor’s of Oriental Medicine at Wonkwang University of South Korea in 2002. After practicing as an Oriental Medical Doctor for 18 years in Korea, she moved to the U.S. to continue her work as a Georgia Licensed and board-certified Acupuncturist. She is also a member of the Korean Medicine of Obesity and Bokchi Korean Medicine Societies.
With more than 20 years of experience with Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, Dr. Han is skilled in pain management, obesity treatment, and cosmetic Acupuncture.
