Janelle Bertler is a certified Traditional Naturopath and Bioenergetic Practitioner at Longevity Health Center, where she provides compassionate, whole-person care to individuals navigating complex health concerns.
She brings over 20 years of experience in the dental field—as a dental assistant, periodontal surgery assistant, and dental hygienist—along with advanced training in naturopathy, holistic healthcare, traditional homeopathy, herbs, and bioenergetic testing. This blend of clinical background and integrative training allows her to bridge evidence-based assessment with a comprehensive view of each patient’s health.
Janelle’s work is grounded in a lifelong connection to natural health. Raised by a Chiropractor and PhD in Nutrition, she grew up understanding that lifestyle, environment, relationships, and stress all shape how the body functions. That foundation became deeply personal after she moved from California to Georgia in 2017 and, within less than a year, found herself largely bedridden and nonfunctional. Conventional medicine diagnosed her with many diagnoses that at first didn’t seem to connect – including reactivated Epstein–Barr virus, Anemia, Lyme, POTS, multiple chemical sensitivities, mast cell activation, and SIBO. She suffered from over 9 months of daily migraines. When the pieces didn’t fit together logically, she began a focused, research-driven search for answers and connected the dots with mold toxicity.
Through years of study, making lifestyle changes, incorporating healing nutritional protocols, embodying a new mindset and letting go of old patterns, Janelle worked methodically to reduce her total body burden and support her own recovery—moving from survival to a fully functional, thriving life. That lived experience now informs her clinical approach. She specializes in environmental illness and total toxic load, helping patients understand how mold, chemicals, pathogens, heavy metals, and chronic stress can accumulate and overwhelm the body’s natural defenses. Her work emphasizes assessing and supporting detoxification pathways, reducing exposures, and strengthening the body’s innate capacity to heal.
Janelle frequently works with patients dealing with Lyme disease, mold illness, mast cell activation, chronic fatigue, gut health issues, and those who identify as highly sensitive. She combines homeopathic and nutritional therapeutics with targeted functional medicine laboratory testing, helping patients see how metabolic, inflammatory, neurotransmitter, gut, and hormone markers may be contributing to their symptoms and overall lack of optimal health. By tracking these markers over time, she supports patients in understanding their physiology and making informed, stepwise changes that move them toward true wellness. Janelle also has a strong commitment to men’s health, providing an honoring, judgment-free space for men who often have few safe places to address both physical and emotional concerns. She recognizes that when men are healthier and more supported, families and communities are stronger, and she is dedicated to walking with her patients as a comprehensive partner in their journey to optimal health.
In addition to physical health, Janelle recognizes the strong link between the nervous system, emotional history, and chronic symptoms. Having personally moved from survival mode to a stable, thriving life, she has a realistic understanding of what meaningful transformation actually requires—time, consistency, and support that honors both the body and the mind. She has pursued extensive self-education in attachment patterns, trauma-informed perspectives, and nervous system regulation, and she translates this knowledge into clear, down-to-earth strategies patients can use in daily life. By focusing on self-awareness, stress regulation, and sustainable lifestyle shifts, Janelle helps patients create the internal conditions that make lasting improvement and deeper healing more possible.
At the heart of Janelle’s work is the space she creates for patients. She is known for listening not only with her ears, but also with her heart—offering an environment where people feel genuinely seen, heard, and not rushed. She believes the body communicates through symptoms and that progress begins when those signals are taken seriously. By combining careful listening, detailed assessment, and collaborative planning, Janelle guides patients toward greater energy, clarity, and quality of life.
